Uncle Scrooge #466

Uncle Scrooge #466

I have been reading this series since its reboot and return. At the same time a lot of what is in this series has felt like rehash. On top of that the art is extremely retro. Uncle Scrooge #466 has the reboot numbering system of Uncle Scrooge #6. One of the few things that keeps this series interesting to me is many of the comic books were never published in America before.

The price of Uncle Scrooge #466 was $5.99. Compared to Marvel and DC Comics this one is a good deal. I just recently paid two dollars for a Kingstone Comics book that had forty-two pages in it. Uncle Scrooge #466 has a total of forty pages within it. The first story is thirty pages, the second story is eight pages, and the last story is two pages.

Expect to run into spoilers from this moment on in this review. Magica goes after Scrooge’s number one dime in Uncle Scrooge #466. Magica has a teleportation crystal in Uncle Scrooge #466. Her plan was to maroon Scrooge on a deserted island while she stole whatever she wanted. The crystal teleported both of them to this island.

These teleportation crystals can only go where other crystals happen to be. So the two of them adventure to find some. They find one and charge it up in moonlight. They work together and get a bit of respect for one another in Uncle Scrooge #466. The second story is about Gyro and his latest invention. He makes a device that will make anyone fall asleep.

The Beagle Boys get ahold of this device and use it to try and rob the money bin. They hit themselves with the beam and get caught since everyone else wakes up before them. The Crosstalk in Uncle Scrooge #466 is about this comic book and a Mickey Mouse one. The credits for Uncle Scrooge #466 are in the back of the comic book.
