There is a certain nostalgia to these Uncle Scrooge comic books. The
Uncle Scrooge #465 comic book cost me $5.99. There are forty pages of
comic book content within Uncle Scrooge #465. The first story in Uncle
Scrooge #465 is First Aiders of Dawson. The second story within Uncle
Scrooge #465 is Klondike Calculations. The first story is thirty pages
and the second story is ten pages long.
The back of the front cover contains the Crosstalk content. This is like
an editors desk page. The inside of the back cover contains the credits
page. There is a bit of mild violent content within Uncle Scrooge #465.
Warning! Spoilers! Warning! Dickie Duck is the grand daughter of Goldie
and she is working on an article for a magazine about lesser known
stories of really rich characters.
Scrooge agrees to tell her a story about him and Goldie while at the
Klondike. We keep going back to the Klondike in this series. In fact
both stories within Uncle Scrooge #465 happen at the Klondike. Goldie
owes Scrooge so he has her working with him on his claim. He is also
paying her a small amount of money. Goldie pretends to be hurt and
demands a doctor.
Scrooge goes through all of these adventures to get her a doctor. The
doctor notices she just has a bruise and can work again just fine.
Goldie winds up growing fond of Scrooge since he went so far out of his
way for her. Scrooge also shows his penny pinching ways in Uncle Scrooge
#465. We find out at the end of that story that Scrooge is soft on
Goldie as well.
The second story has a bear stealing from Scrooge. The initial thought
is the trained bear did it. Later we find out this thief is dressing up
like others and pretending to be different characters. Scrooge and the
bear catch up and get his gold back. The bear juggles the two characters
and the gold to cross a bridge that is half gone.
