This particular franchise is back in the news. I saw a story where this movie is coming back to theaters in September in the year of our Lord 2026. I plan on going and seeing it in the theater when that happens. I also noticed and ordered a copy of the Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1 comic book. I thought this would include the entire movie. Sadly my thought was not correct.

Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1 reminds me of the facsimile editions of comics because of the older art style, and page texture. Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1 cost me $3.99. There are twenty-three pages of comic book content within Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1. The back cover of Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1 contains the cover gallery.

The opposite of the front cover of Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1 contains the credits. There is some violent content within Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1. The last page in Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1 is an advertisement. I vow that the rest of this comic book review will include spoilers. There will be another issue after this one. At least one more.

I was a bit dismayed at certain things being left off in Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1. For example the infamous line from Optimus Prime is not in Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1. Do you know that line? If not it is - "One shall stand, one shall fall." This line is well known in Transformers circles. Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1 does not include it.

Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1 brings us all the way up to the creation of Galvatron. Unicron attacks a planet, and some characters escape. The Autobots send a shuttle to Earth for Energon. Megatron attacks it. Megatron tries to get into Autobot City in Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1. He is stopped, and both Megatron and Optimus Prime fall. The Matrix is passed on, and Unicron finds Megatron and some other damaged Decepticons.

There is a lot more to go after Transformers the Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1. I wonder if there will be two or three issues within this series. If I have the money and can find them I plan on purchasing the rest of this series. The movie is still one I remember to this day. I took my younger brother to it in the theaters. He was just a kid then. I was also much younger myself.
