Thunderbolts

Marvel and the M-SHE-U has taken a beating over recent years. I heard that Thunderbolts was actually a decent Marvel movie. I am thankful that I had the money to purchase a copy of Thunderbolts on DVD. This movie is one hundred and twenty-six minutes long. The issues families can have with Thunderbolts are violence, blood, bad language, false gods, and more. There are plenty of humorous moments within Thunderbolts.

Please we warned that spoilers will be a part of this review going forward. Valentina Allegra de Fontaine is being investigated by Congress for impeachment hearings. She is trying to wrap up all of her loose ends. Assassin Yelena Belova, US Agent, Ghost, Taskmaster are all caught in a trap where they will be incinerated. They escape that trap and also run across Bob. Bob was in a box and thought to be dead. Bob becomes Sentry in Thunderbolts.

Bucky and Red Guardian meet up with the characters to help them escape. They then decide they should fight against Valentina. Bob is not right in the head. In fact Sentry turns into Void at one point in Thunderbolts. The B level characters are nowhere near as powerful as the Avengers. It is kind of sad to see them fight Sentry and lose badly. It would be like Batman and Green Arrow trying to take down Superman without any kryptonite.

The losers in Thunderbolts become more loveable as the movie progresses. They move from bad people that no one likes to heroes in Thunderbolts. This is a total Marvel kind of a thing. Remember how the Avengers initially were very flawed. The characters in Thunderbolts actually grew on me. They went from insulting one another to helping one another in this movie. They became a team in Thunderbolts.

There is a theme and a message in Thunderbolts that you are not alone. The end credits have two scenes. The last one is extremely fascinating to me personally because it brings us to the Fantastic Four movie. There is a funny Wheaties scene earlier in the end credits. I also really liked the different news articles that show when the credits start in Thunderbolts. The nature of this team is poked fun at a little bit.
