The Patriarchs 3 Joseph

I am open, honest, transparent, and blunt about what I like and what I do not like. I am not a fan of the darker art styles. I made that point in other comic books like the Spider-Gwen ones. The Patriarchs 3 Joseph has a dark art style that does not appeal to me. That dark art style does not reach me. This is the first Bible related comic book that I have read that contains this kind of an art style.

The credits for The Patriarchs 3 Joseph can be found on the back of the front cover. There are forty pages of comic book content within The Patriarchs 3 Joseph. This comic book cost me $2.00. The issues families can have with The Patriarchs 3 Joseph are violence, blood, lack of attire, false gods and more. I give you my word that the rest of this review will include spoilers. You were warned.

The Bible verses are on the bottom of the pages. In some ways The Patriarchs 3 Joseph feels like a different translation of the Holy Bible. Joseph has dreams that annoy and irritate his brothers. Obviously God was working in this. It might have been smart for Joseph to not share that information with his brothers. Some of his brothers want to kill him for it. Others decide it was better to sell him into slavery. Joseph winds up working for Potiphar in Egypt.

Potiphar's wife decides she wants to have her way with Joseph in bed. Joseph runs away and avoids her. She then falsely accuses Joseph so he winds up going to jail. In prison he is blessed yet again. Joseph is able to interpret dreams in The Patriarchs 3 Joseph thanks to the help and guidance of God. Joseph is forgotten and stuck in jail until Pharaoh has a dream that none can interpret.

Joseph is brought before Pharaoh where the interpretation is provided. There will be seven good years, and seven years of famine. Joseph recommends putting someone in charge to put grain away during the good years. The brothers of Joseph come to him for grain during the famine. Joseph realizes this as they bow to him. His father gets to see Joseph again and is very pleased. The Patriarchs 3 Joseph ends with the death of Joseph. Put in the right place at the right time.
