The Llamasoft Collection

There are twenty-seven retro games on The Llamasoft Collection Evercade cartridge. These games are from these systems initially - VIC-20/VC-20, Commodore 64, Spectrum, Atari ST. They are 8-bit to 16-bit computers from way back. Many of the games in The Llamasoft Collection look old. In fact Ratman looks like it would be one of those Game and Watch kind of a video game. I live streamed all twenty-seven games on our Twitch channel.

The games on The Llamasoft Collection are Abductor, Andes Attack, Deflex V, Gridrunner (A), Hell Gate (A), Laser Zone (A), Matrix Gridrunner 2 (A), Metagalactic Llamas Battle at the Edge of Time (A), Ratman!, Ancipital, Attack of the Mutant Camels, Batalyx, Gridrunner (B), Hell Gate (B), Hover Bovver, Laser Zone (B), Matrix Gridrunner 2 (B), Metagalactic Llamas Battle at the Edge of Time (B), Revenge of the Mutant Camels (A), Revenge of the Mutant Camels II, Sheep In Space, Voidrunner, City Bomb, Superdeflex, Llamatron 2112, Revenge of the Mutant Camels (B), and Super Gridrunner.

Some of the games are really similar. The A and B versions are usually on different systems. So what happened was Llamasoft released their games on different systems but kept the names the same. So this Evercade cartridge needed to differentiate them somehow. Many of the games on The Llamasoft Collection are clones of other more well known and popular games. A lot of The Llamasoft Collection feels familiar. There is an obsession with llamas and camels on The Llamasoft Collection.

Hover Bovver is one of those games on The Llamasoft Collection cartridge that really sticks out to me. Players go to their neighbors garage and borrow the lawn mower. We must then mow all of the lawn avoiding the neighbor and a dog. Hover Bovver is challenging but still a really fun idea to play. The two Deflex games are interesting on The Llamasoft Collection cartridge as well. We must put these flippers that will guide the main icon to a specific spot. Sometimes patience is all you need in that game.

There are a few games on The Llamasoft Collection cartridge that might mess with your mind thanks to some crazy colors being used. Other games on The Llamasoft Collection look like the old Atari 2600 kind of a game. The best looking game on The Llamasoft Collection cartridge is Revenge of the Mutant Camels (B). City Bomb is another interesting game on The Llamasoft Collection cartridge.
