The Elf on the Shelf Christmas Heroes
SCORE: 73
Outright Games puts me in the same predicament game after game. The
Elf on the Shelf Christmas Heroes is no different. Outright Games
publishes family friendly video games. These games are really short,
uninspired and dull. I hoped The Elf on the Shelf Christmas Heroes would
teach me a bit more about this franchise. The Elf on the Shelf Christmas
Heroes does not do that. In fact it only lead to more questions.
There are twenty-four levels within The Elf on the Shelf Christmas
Heroes. Most of the levels are 2D side scrolling levels. There are some
flying levels in The Elf on the Shelf Christmas Heroes. We collect
sparkles to power Santa's sleigh in The Elf on the Shelf Christmas
Heroes. There are mini games in the 2D side scrolling levels. I skipped
those at first to find out that was a mistake. Players need so many
hearts to progress to the next level in this game.
Do you know how we get hearts in the 2D side scrolling levels in The Elf
on the Shelf Christmas Heroes? We must complete the mini games in the
set amount of time. The sparkles are generally meaningless in the 2D
side scrolling levels. We collect sparkles in the flying levels to get
hearts in The Elf on the Shelf Christmas Heroes. Many of the levels feel
similar. There are different backgrounds but the levels feel similar.
If we take a hit in The Elf on the Shelf Christmas Heroes we lose some
sparkles. If we collect them quick enough then it is no harm and no
foul. If not the sparkles will return to where we recently collected
them. So players can go back and get them again if they so choose. I did
not comprehend any story in The Elf on the Shelf Christmas Heroes. We
are visiting a family and then in the North pole. I have no idea what
the journey was all about.
There is no reference to the birth of Jesus Christ in The Elf on the
Shelf Christmas Heroes at all. The true meaning of Christmas is
completely ignored. I know this will be controversial for a great many
families. The Elf on the Shelf Christmas Heroes can be beaten in three
to four hours. It just depends how many sparkles you decide to collect.
I could breeze through levels if I just wanted to complete them.
