The Amazing Spider-Man #990

SCORE: 65

The Amazing Spider-Man #990

My plan with this comic book series is to get to issue one thousand and maybe a few after, and then drop it again for awhile. I came back for this whole Death Spiral storyline and honestly it is a big disappointment. To make matters worse to get the entire story I would also need to purchase the Venom comic books. The Amazing Spider-Man #990 cost me $4.99. There are only twenty pages of comic book content within The Amazing Spider-Man #990.

The reboot numbering system for The Amazing Spider-Man #990 is The Amazing Spider-Man #26. There are three pages of comic book content and then two intro/credits pages in The Amazing Spider-Man #990. Advertisements can be found throughout The Amazing Spider-Man #990 comic book. There are two Spiders and Symbiotes pages in The Amazing Spider-Man #990. There are also two letter pages in The Amazing Spider-Man #990.

The issues families can have with The Amazing Spider-Man #990 are violence, blood, bad language and more. I promise to include spoilers for the rest of this review. Carnage left Eddie Brock and has joined Torment. Eddie is in really bad shape in The Amazing Spider-Man #990. Venom must get Eddie to the hospital. The man MJ was seeing Paul is now dead. I guess that happened in a Venom issue. I am not really sure.

Spidey is fighting the Carnage/Torment character in The Amazing Spider-Man #990. Carnage wants to kill as many as possible. Torment is following the spirals and can only kill certain people in a certain order. We learn about a cousin of Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man #990. Spidey is able to save this man. The editor's comments on the first letter page promises to explain this in the near future.

Aunt May is the next target. Spider-Man is going to try and get to her first. Venom should also be back in the fight soon. Eddie and MJ have an unpleasant conversation. I can actually see what Eddie Brock is talking about. MJ thinks it is something else. Eddie made the attempt and the effort. Eddie is trying to be better. The Amazing Spider-Man #990 makes me think this storyline will be wrapping up soon.
