The Amazing Spider-Man #989
SCORE: 66
The Amazing Spider-Man #989 is part five of the Death Spiral event. I
read about this event in one of the Marvel preview magazines and thought
it would be interesting. I noticed something about this series after
reading The Amazing Spider-Man #989. Actually I noticed a couple of
things with this comic book that cost me $4.99. There are twenty pages
of comic book content within The Amazing Spider-Man #989.
The reboot numbering system for The Amazing Spider-Man #989 is The
Amazing Spider-Man #25. The issues families can have with The Amazing
Spider-Man #989 are violence, blood, bad language, and more. There are
two pages of letters within The Amazing Spider-Man #989. There are also
two pages that are for Spiders & Symbiotes. There is also the cover of
the comic book that is next in the storyline. That is Venom #256.
I will include spoilers in the rest of this review of The Amazing
Spider-Man #989 comic book. I am not happy that this storyline is
crossing over to comic books I did not purchase. Even worse this
storyline is not as good as I thought it would be. Thus far this
storyline is really disappointing me. There was a moment when The
Amazing Spider-Man #989 might have gotten interesting but it reversed
course.
Carnage is trying to make a deal with Torment by joining him. This is
where that swerve happens. Eddie Brock woke up and is actually in
control of Carnage in The Amazing Spider-Man #989. He was faking Torment
out in The Amazing Spider-Man #989. The spirals is what is controlling
Torment. The point of the spirals is a bit odd to me. Start far out and
get closer and closer. How does Torment know everyone's families?
The Amazing Spider-Man #989 references Flash and he is some kind of a
super hero as well if I understand correctly. I find that a bit odd.
Venom, Carnage and Spider-Man all have families they want to protect.
The thing is they need to stay together if they have any hope of
stopping Torment in this storyline. The Amazing Spider-Man #989 ends
showing us who the next target will be. The family of MJ.
