Taito Arcade 1

I am thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of the Taito Arcade 1 cartridge on the Evercade systems. There are nine games on the Taito Arcade 1 cartridge. The games on Taito Arcade 1 are Bubble Bobble, Chack’N Pop, Colony 7, Don Doko Don, Growl, Pirate Pete, Raimais, Space Invaders and The Legend of Kage. I live streamed all of the games on our Twitch channel. Each game will receive its own video on our video sites as time and money allow.

All in all I like many of the games on Taito Arcade 1. Some allow players to continue where they lost their last life. Other games require the player to start the game all over again. Bubble Bobble is a great example of the later. The Legend of Kage is another one of those games that makes player start from the beginning. Chack’N Pop reminds me of Bubble Bobble with some differences. Players can jump to the ceiling, and must collect the heart to leave.

Growl is a brawler in Taito Arcade 1 that has players going after those horrible, evil poachers. I love it when someone tries to say older games never pushed a political agenda. Growl exposes the truth to many retro games pushed an agenda. Space Invaders is a well known older game that has been on all kinds of systems. It is neat that Taito Arcade 1 brings families the arcade version to play at home.

Don Doko Don is a game on the Taito Arcade 1 cartridge I enjoyed. It is similar to Bubble Bobble. We have an older gentleman with a beard that has a hammer. He hits the enemies and then can grab them and throw them around. Clear the enemies and you clear the screen. There are also bosses in Don Doko Don. Pirate Peter is a challenging video game that confused me at first. I did figure out how to get through the areas.

Raimais is a game on the Taito Arcade 1 cartridge that was a lot of fun. We can continue as often as we want. We drive a vehicle around a maze avoiding these vehicles that are faster. We must find a hidden item that opens the doors to the next level. I had a blast playing Raimais. If I go back to another of these games on Taito Arcade 1 Raimais will be it. Colony 7 is a difficult shooter.
