Noah looks at the comic books that will coming out in the upcoming
months and every so often asks me for something. Noah asked me to
purchase Summer of Supergirl Special #1. This is something I would have
passed on. This comic book cost $5.99. There are forty pages of comic
book content within Summer of Supergirl Special #1. There are some
advertisements in the back of Summer of Supergirl Special #1.
There are three stories within Summer of Supergirl Special #1. The first
story is twenty-two pages. The second story in Summer of Supergirl
Special #1 is ten pages. The last story in Summer of Supergirl Special
#1 is eight pages long. There are two Welcome to Metropolis pages within
Summer of Supergirl Special #1. There is a DC Nation Spotlight on a
Supergirl comic book from DC Comics in Summer of Supergirl Special #1.
The issues families can have with Summer of Supergirl Special #1 are
violence, blood, bad language, lack of attire, enticement to lust, false
gods, sexual deviancy and more. I will include spoilers for the rest of
this review of the Summer of Supergirl Special #1 comic book. The first
story is about Lobo and Supergirl getting into trouble and some court is
sentencing them. Their super pets are also part of the problem.
Supergirl offers to pay for the damages and asks that Lobo be sent to a
place to make him more respectable. You know that therapy places where
people talk about their feelings. Lobo's dog is named Dawg. Dawg stays
with Supergirl and causes some problems. Lobo shows up and Dawg does not
want to give him attention until Lobo gives Dawg some food. Lobo and
Supergirl also fought for some reason.
The second story in Summer of Supergirl Special #1 has a female Shazam
that wants Supergirl to be her big sister. They also fight off some
robot. Why? Who really knows. I don't know. The robot just attacked and
lost badly. Even though the robot could steal the powers of Shazam and
use kryptonite against Supergirl. This story felt about as pointless as
the first one. At least it was a bit shorter.
The last story in Summer of Supergirl Special #1 made even less sense to
me. There is some black girl with the symbol of Superman on her. Two
Superboys are talking, Martian Manhunter is there. They talk about what
happened to Supergirl when she died. It was like recap of some stories
from the past. I saw no point in this one as well. To make matters worse
I had no idea who some of the characters were.
