Speed Racer #8

I wondered what this franchise would do after the last two part storyline. Speed Racer #8 is an one shot I believe. I will explain later why I think that. The Speed Racer #8 comic book cost me $4.99. There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within Speed Racer #8. The credits for Speed Racer #8 can be found on the back of the front cover. There is a page devoted to the next issue within Speed Racer #8.

Speed Racer #8 includes a three page preview of Dog Tag #1. that preview contains some blood. There are some advertisements near the very back of the Speed Racer #8 comic book. The issues families can have with Speed Racer #8 are violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, theft and more. I make a solemn vow that the rest of this review will include spoilers for what happens within Speed Racer #8.

Speed, his little brother and dad are at some fancy event. Trixie and Speed kissed recently. I am not sure when that was. Maybe in that one issue I missed. Man there were a lot of things that happened in that issue. I am trying to buy a copy of it to read and review. This doctor shows some new fuel supplement that is green and really powerful. There is a rumble noise and Speed reacts to save his family.

Mister Block also known as Cruncher breaks into the building with a very large vehicle. This gangster steals the new formula, and kidnaps Trixie. Speed Racer will not have that so he goes after him. Racer X also comes along to help in Speed Racer #8. They go after this giant vehicle and slow it down a bit. Want to know something scary? This giant vehicle has missiles. Thankfully the two racers avoid the missiles.

The two racers also bring some missiles back to the vehicle. Trixie must jump out of the moving vehicle into Speed Racers arms. The bad guy goes after the formula right before it explodes in his face - literally. Trixie and Speed are kissing at the end of Speed Racer #8. Since the bad guy is dead, the relationship between Speed and Trixie are the only things I can see moving forward. Well maybe that green formula is another one.
