Speed Racer #6
SCORE: 71
In our swap over from one comic book store to another one we missed
Speed Racer #5. Which seemed okay at first. Then I realized there was a
major plot point that happened. I noticed it while reading Speed Racer
#6. This comic book sold for $4.99. The comic book store was tryin to
sell it for $5.50. I checked our orders and we paid $4.95 for Speed
Racer #6. There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within Speed
Racer #6.
There is a page for the next issue, and three preview pages for Amos
Exordium #1 in Speed Racer #6. After that is some advertisements. The
credits can be found on the back of the front cover of the Speed Racer
#6 comic book. I provide an important oath next. The rest of this review
will contain spoilers. Pops Racer is back on his feet and involved in
the racing in Speed Racer #6. In fact Pops and Speed are arguing a lot
in Speed Racer #6.
The issues families can have with Speed Racer #6 are violence, peril,
lack of attire and more. It looks like the last storyline wrapped up in
the last issue. Speed Racer #6 is starting a new storyline. I have some
more issues of this series in my pile. I am considering how much longer
I want to read this series. Speed Racer #6 introduces readers to Carl
Cranem. He has history with the Racer family.
The father of Carl Cranem died in the past. Carl blames Pops Racer for
his father's death. The dead man was working on a really fast but
unstable engine. Speed Racer #6 starts with Carl building what his
father original made. That unstable but fast engine. Carl calls out the
Racer family and threatens to destroy them. He has an axe to grind and
backing from a group that knows they have a winner on their hands.
Carl Cranem races against Speed Racer in Speed Racer #6. Carl winds up
winning and does not need to do very many underhanded tricks either.
Carl has a faster car. Speed Racer pushed the Mach 5 beyond its limits
in Speed Racer #6. The Mach 5 winds up exploding and Speed Racer is
injured at the end of Speed Racer #6. I noticed there was no Racer X in
Speed Racer #6 at all. Where is he during all of this?
