Sonic The Hedgehog #88

Sonic The Hedgehog #88

While I keep focusing on The Amazing Spider-Man closing in on issue #1000 I also recognize that Sonic The Hedgehog is marching toward its one hundredth issue. That dawned on me as I prepped for the review of Sonic The Hedgehog #88. This comic book cost me $4.99. There are twenty pages of comic book content within Sonic The Hedgehog #88. The credits are on the backside of the front cover. There is also a Story So Far page, and a Characters page.

After the comic book content within Sonic The Hedgehog #88 is a page devoted to the next issue. After that are alternate covers, and then the Sonic Letter Squad page. Sonic The Hedgehog #88 wraps things up with the IDW View From the Back Page, and then a few more advertisements. MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT. Spoilers are rushing in for the rest of this review. Or should I say spoilers are speeding in like a blue blur?

Sonic The Hedgehog #88 does a fantastic job of inching the story a little bit further. Cynics will point out that close to five dollars was spent for very little progress. I can see the slow build in Sonic The Hedgehog #88 though. Each of the four main characters are dealing with their own problems and issues within Sonic The Hedgehog #88. Sonic is getting attacked by a fake Amy thanks to the gas. Amy is getting attacked by fake Sonics as well.

Tails is freaking out in the dark and in the storm in Sonic The Hedgehog #88. Knuckles is looking for the intruder in Sonic The Hedgehog #88. Knuckles comes across Tails and they work together against the intruder. In fact the two of them get an attack in during this comic book. Sonic saves himself and Amy in Sonic The Hedgehog #88. They wind up coming out of the underground just in time to help Knuckles and Tails.

The bad character is able to escape in Sonic The Hedgehog #88. Sonic remembers facing this creature before. Sonic does not remember what this character looks like though. So we made a little bit of progress, but still not everything. The Master Emerald is still safe on the island. Knuckles appreciates the assistance in Sonic The Hedgehog #88. Sonic, Tails, and Amy leave at the end of Sonic The Hedgehog #88.
