Silver Hawks Volume One

After reading the recent Silver Hawks comic books I decided to check out the original animation. Silver Hawks Volume One is my return to this franchise. There are thirty-two episodes on the three discs in Silver Hawks Volume One. It takes seven hundred and four minutes to watch Silver Hawks Volume One from start to finish. There will be spoilers in my review.

The issues families can have with Silver Hawks Volume One are violence, theft, and more. The Silver Hawks are sort of like police in the Limbo Universe. They are constantly dealing with to mob. Mon-Star is the head of the mob. He will transform from a furry thing to an armored creature that rides a giant octopus that also has armor.

There is some corny humor within Silver Hawks Volume One. The end of each episode has a little learning about space. I question some of the facts within Silver Hawks Volume One. The names of the characters can be laughable at times. Mon-Star Planet Master and Zero Memory Thief come to mind. Also Hardware is another great example.

At times while I watched Silver Hawks Volume One I had a certain comment. That comment was: “that is not how space works.” Someone gets knocked off a vehicle and they fall really fast. Or all of these characters are breathing while out in space. I know Silver Hawks Volume One is for older kids and teens. Still a little realism would have been better.

There are other things in Silver Hawks Volume One that I noticed. Mon-Star would lose again and again. Every time he said he would get the Silver Hawks next time. That never happened. Yes Man is an interesting character to me in Silver Hawks Volume One. He agrees with almost everything. He is quite the snake. The cap driver will stick in your head if you know what I mean. Silver Hawks Volume One taught me that metal is not real since the Silver Hawks are partly metal and partly real.
