Racer X #4

I am finding some interesting stuff in Racer X #4. The credits for Racer X #4 can be found on the back of the front cover of this comic book. The Racer X #4 comic book cost me $4.99. There are only twenty pages of comic book content within Racer X #4. There is a page within Racer X #4 devoted to the next issue. There is a five page preview of Where does the Rainbow End #1 in this comic book as well.

Racer X #4 does contain some violent content. There are numerous flashbacks within Racer X #4. For the rest of this review you can expect to read spoilers. I warned you in advance. Racer X saves Speed Racer in Racer X #4. Both of their cars have taken damage in this comic book and before this one. Rex helps out his brother as they treat their two cars as one.

Rex is remembering a lot of his past in Racer X #4. Rex lied to his father about racing in the past. Rex was impatient and wanted to get on the track and race. He found a team that would let him do just that. I do not know if the dad Pop Racer was being too protective or not. Rex is really torn in Racer X #4. The depth of emotion is relayed quite well in this comic book.

Speed Racer winds up winning the race in Racer X #4. I wonder what will happen to that hired gun in the near future. I also wonder how they will get their vehicles fixed. Both vehicles took damage in Racer X #4. I do love how Rex saved his brother from crashing in Racer X #4. Rex shows how selfless he actually is in Racer X #4.

At the end of Racer X #4 we see Rex bringing flowers to his dad. The turmoil is if he lets his dad know he is alive then his dad’s life will be in jeopardy. Rex hates letting his dad continue to think he is dead. At the same time he is trying to protect his father. This is the depth of emotion within Racer X #4. I am very curious to see where this series will go next.
