Pokémon Pokopia

One of the things I have talked about for years is I wish I had more time to play through some of these video games. I was playing Pokémon Pokopia for live streams when I could work it in. Here comes Forza Horizon 6. Which means this game gets shelved. There are all these other high priority games coming out which means I will most likely not get back to this Nintendo Switch 2 video game.

What is Pokémon Pokopia? It is part Minecraft and part Pokémon. I heard some people claim this game is part Animal Crossing. To me the Minecraft comparison makes more sense. We play a Ditto that is trying to restore the land and bring back the Pokémon. He also wants to bring back the humans. Ditto transforms into what sort of looks like a human in this game.

We find Pokémon and use their moves. Then we find other Pokémon that will help us do things like build or bulldozer an area. We build habitats for Pokémon to join the world in Pokémon Pokopia. We craft things, break them down, build, and more in Pokémon Pokopia. The more Pokémon we find the more we return the land to what it once was.

There are quests to complete in Pokémon Pokopia. Completing those earn us money. That money can be spent on recipes and furniture. There is also the aspect of planting in Pokémon Pokopia. Growing vegetables is required to progress in Pokémon Pokopia. I ran into some obnoxious glitches in Pokémon Pokopia. Slowpoke was standing by the Professor but did not complete the quest.

If you like to decorate build, repair, and restore then Pokémon Pokopia might be a game for you. The Pokémon will also have quests for the player. There is plenty to do in this video game. I enjoyed my time with Pokémon Pokopia. I just wish the live streams brought in enough money for me to put more hours into Pokémon Pokopia.
