NeoGeo Arcade 1
SCORE: 67
If you were a part of the live stream where I played NeoGeo Arcade 1
then you know the skinny on why I only played two of the six games. If
you missed the amazing live stream (what is wrong with you?) then let me
explain. I have been purchasing the ACA NEOGEO Selection volumes. Four
of the games on NeoGeo Arcade 1 are also on those. I plan on live
streaming those at some point in the near future.
The games on NeoGeo Arcade 1 are The King of the Fighters 2020, Metal
Slug, Shock Troopers, Magician Lord, Sengoku, and Ironclad. The issues
families can have with NeoGeo Arcade 1 are violence, blood, lack of
attire, enticement to lust, and more. NeoGeo Arcade 1 contains three
shooters, one brawler, one fighting game, and one side scrolling 2D
platformer. That 2D platformer is really close to a shooter since we
have to move a bit, shoot, rinse and repeat.
I want to continue to stick with the side scrolling 2D platformer. That
game is Magician Lord. I have plenty of complaints about that game.
First it is insanely hard unless you move at a snails pace. Second
Magician Lord will respawn the player right in the middle of multiple
enemies. I died so often thanks to that while playing Magician Lord on
the NeoGeo Arcade 1. Who thought that was a good idea? The continuation
should have been right after going through the door, not before it.
Since shooters make up half of the games on the NeoGeo Arcade 1
cartridge I will spend a few words on them. Ironclad is a space shooter.
Metal Slug is a side scrolling 2D shooter. Shock Troopers is sort of the
brawler version of a shooter. We run around and have space to move up,
down, left and right in an environment with the character we are using.
These games are good with the continues thanks to one button.
The King of the Fighters 2000 is that well known fighting game that has
been on a lot of different systems. NeoGeo Arcade 1 would be really cool
if the Nintendo Switch compilations were not already on the market.
Those packages provide ten games. NeoGeo Arcade 1 only provides six
games. There are going to be multiple NeoGeo arcade cartridges coming on
the Evercade as well. If you have no where else to play these games then
NeoGeo Arcade 1 is a possibility.
