MotoGP 24

Once I got sick and tired of playing Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma I looked for something to do as an one shot. I saw MotoGP 24 was still in the pile so I decided to play it. My dad purchased a copy of MotoGP 24 from the UK. We did not get a physical copy in America so we had to import one from overseas. Why were we denied the right to purchase a physical copy in our country? My dad warned me that MotoGP 24 might be challenging.

Here is what I think about MotoGP 24. The game cheats. The computer controlled characters can go way faster than we me on certain curves. I call hacks. Milestone calls this AI learning. Want to know something Milestone? It is not fun losing again and again because the computer controlled characters can cheat. I played MotoGP 24 for a live stream for close to two hours. In the last race I was in first place most of the race only to be passed near the end.

I have played other racing games and many of them have a low setting of difficulty so players can win. Forza Horizon games do this really well. Forza Horizon will ask if you want to increase the difficulty and you can keep it really low so you win every race every single time. That is more fun that losing again and again. MotoGP 24 could learn a lot from Forza Horizon video games.

MotoGP 24 looks nice and I liked being able to lean into the curves while racing. I wish MotoGP 24 had some drag racing tracks, but there are constant curves all over the place. There are plenty of practices that players can play before getting into the main and real race. I would get bored with seeing the same tracks again and again. On the flip side I did get better racing those tracks.

Due to copyright concerns I turned off the music before live streaming MotoGP 24. There is a lot of customization that can be done to the characters in MotoGP 24. There is also that pronoun mental illness in MotoGP 24. Why was such a controversial and divisive piece of content included in a racing game? I do not comprehend that. I will now be uninstalling MotoGP 24. I do not plan on playing this game ever again unless Milestone pays me to play it.
