Legion of X

Our local comic book store was selling Legion of X for $9.00 recently. I decided to purchase it and put it in my pile. I just finished reading Legion of X. There are five comic books compiled within Legion of X. The five comic books are Legion of X #1-5. Those were released back in 2022. This is still in the Krakoa age. In fact the back asks a question - Krakoa has laws - but does it have justice?

The issues families can have with Legion of X are violence, blood, lack of attire, enticement to lust, sex outside of marriage, bad language, false gods, and more. There is a demon that possesses characters in Legion of X. There is also a hunt for a false god of mischief in Legion of X. Expect spoilers for the rest of this review of the Legion of X graphic novel. Legion of X mainly follows Nightcrawler.

What does Nightcrawler do in Legion of X? He is sort of the law man. Something bad escaped from Arakko Prime in Legion of X. Arbitrix is the leader on that planet and she is a giant eye. She wants the chief lawman to find this escaped entity in Legion of X. She also sends along Zsen to accompany Nightcrawler in this case. There are other things going on with other characters in Legion of X as well.

Juggernaut has an interesting story arc in Legion of X. The son of Charles Xavier also has some fascinating things happen to him in Legion of X. The mutant that sends out smoke in Legion of X has a very tragic story. His wife died because of his cancer causing smoke. He blames himself for her death. He winds up being killed in Legion of X. I felt bad for that character. He is already down on himself and then gets murdered.

The storyline in Legion of X winds up pretty bland, boring and predictable. The entity that is being chased is actually running from that ruler. She can make anyone vanish. This entity gave her power to rule and she turns on him. She was his first worshipper. Legion of X teaches that these false gods need worshippers to survive. The hunting of these entities ends at the end of Legion of X.
