Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
SCORE: 60
I wanted to watch Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes for some time
now. The biggest issue is Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is one
hundred and forty-five minutes long. That is close to two and half
hours. Noah and myself stayed up late on one of our movie nights to get
completely through Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. The issues
families can have with Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes are violence,
blood, lack of attire, enticement to lust, evolution, bad language and
more.
Expect spoilers for the rest of the review of Kingdom of the Planet of
the Apes. Noa is a young ape in an eagle training village in Kingdom of
the Planet of the Apes. The movie starts with him, Soona, and Anaya
hunting for eagle eggs. they will raise them into eagles that will hunt
for the tribe. They are in and from the Eagle Clan. They call humans
echoes. Noa gets an egg but running into a hungry human breaks it. Noa
goes looking for another one when he runs into a group of apes that are
killing other apes.
The apes that are in the hunting party are under Proximus Caesar.
Proximus is trying to break into a human vault to get some of their
technology. Trevathan was captured by Proximus and provides him all
kinds of information. Proximus is building his own empire or kingdom in
this movie. Proximus is ruthless and twists the words of Caesar to fit
his own ambitions in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
Noa runs into Mae a human that has not been impacted by the Simian Flu.
Mae can speak and that shocks the apes in Kingdom of the Planet of the
Apes. Mae is on an expedition to find some important technology in the
same vault that Proximus wants to get into. Mae and Noa also have a plan
in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. They flood the vault after they
get what they needed. Mae even liberates a gun from the vault.
There is an interesting discussion within Kingdom of the Planet of the
Apes about holding onto the past. The Eagle Clan takes down Proximus and
Mae escapes back to where she came from. She and other humans are able
to connect via communications in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. The
apes are still all over the planet. Other humans run around like
animals. I am interested to see where this franchise goes next. The
revival of the humans is a nice touch in this franchise.
