Inspector Gadget 2
SCORE: 77
I purchased the Inspector Gadget 2 movie recently and got around to
watching it for one of our movie nights. It takes eighty-eight minutes
to watch Inspector Gadget 2 from start to finish. The only cast member
from the first movie that made it into the second movie was the voice of
the Gadgetmobile. I thought the actor for Inspector Gadget was different
in this movie. My research confirmed this.
There is plenty of humor within Inspector Gadget 2. There is a bit of
comic mischief and violence in Inspector Gadget 2. I feel that Inspector
Gadget 2 is more for the younger members of the family. I got some
chuckles while watching Inspector Gadget 2. There were also some campy
moments within Inspector Gadget 2. My research showed that Inspector
Gadget 2 is closer to the cartoon than the original movie.
Go go Gadget spoilers. I thought of a different way of letting you know
the rest of this review will include spoilers. Claw escapes and the
police force have a new robot G2. She does not have all of the glitches
Inspector Gadget has. I am still confused why they did not just fix his
glitches. At one point G2 trades chips with Inspector Gadget so he can
have his gear actually work for a change. All Inspector Gadget needed
was a new chip.
Things wind up going badly for Inspector Gadget in this movie. He gets
fired, and must find other jobs to do. Penny keeps working the case and
finding clues. Eventually Inspector Gadget accepts the assistance from
Penny. G2 gets deactivated at one point in Inspector Gadget 2 because
she also messes up. The police are no better at stopping Claw in
Inspector Gadget 2. Which should come as no surprise.
Claw makes a ray that freezes people and objects. The water is stuck up
as someone splashes into the water. Claw can then go to the place that
houses all of the gold and steal it. Somehow that door can still open.
Inspector Gadget and G2 get there to stop Claw. The interesting thing is
Claw does escape at the end of this movie. His henchmen do get captured
in Inspector Gadget 2. The good inspector and his love interest robot
wind up getting honored for saving the city.
