How to Train Your Dragon
SCORE: 73
I played numerous How to Train Your Dragon video games over the
years. I even watched some of the cartoons of How to Train Your Dragon.
I was very curious about the live action version of How to Train Your
Dragon. I am thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of this movie
on DVD. It takes two hours and five minutes to watch How to Train Your
Dragon from start to finish. The actors do a great job in this movie. I
hope there is a sequel.
The issues families can have with How to Train Your Dragon are violence,
false gods, and more. Spoilers will be a part of this review going
forward. The Vikings on Berk are there to fight and find the main nest
of the dragons. Hiccup is the son of the chief. Hiccup has ideas on how
to fight the dragons better. The chief his dad Stoick want him to be
like the rest of the Vikings. Stop being like himself and more like the
others.
There is plenty of humor within How to Train Your Dragon. Hiccup uses
his device against a Night Fury in How to Train Your Dragon. Hiccup has
a chance to kill the Night Fury but frees him instead. Toothless becomes
the name of this Night Fury. There was damage done to the tail so the
dragon can no longer fly properly. Hiccup crafts a synthetic one, and
befriends Toothless in How to Train Your Dragon.
The father comes back from a mission to find out Hiccup is doing really
well in Dragon Training. How is that possible? Hiccup learns about
dragons from Toothless. Certain flowers make them sneeze, they do not
like eels, or where to tickle them for example. Hiccup is trying to show
the other Vikings that they can train the dragons to work with them.
There is a giant dragon forcing the smaller dragons to bring it food in
How to Train Your Dragon.
The Vikings attack the dragon nest only to find the giant dragon. Hiccup
and his friends show up on dragons to fight off and eventually take down
the giant dragon. Hiccup loses his foot and has a prosthetic one in How
to Train Your Dragon. I like how disabilities are shown in a good light
in How to Train Your Dragon. The father even comes around to training
and using dragons for the people in How to Train Your Dragon.
