Gargoyles x Fantastic Four #1

It dawned on me recently that both Marvel and Dynamite were doing a Gargoyles and Fantastic Four crossovers. Both have many of the same characters but totally different storylines. The Gargoyles x Fantastic Four #1 comic book cost me $5.99. There are thirty pages of comic book content within Gargoyles x Fantastic Four #1. The credits can be found on the back of the front cover and on page three.

After the comic book content is some advertisements and the cover gallery. There will be spoilers in my review of the Gargoyles x Fantastic Four #1 comic book. There is a real theme of family in Gargoyles x Fantastic Four #1. I absolutely love that. Gargoyles x Fantastic Four #1 hops around between different characters and different locations.

The Thing and some Gargoyles are underground with Mole Man and some Kaiju. Reed Richard’s is working on something to make the Kaiju go away. Two Gargoyles grab Mole Man in Gargoyles x Fantastic Four #1. There are two villains that come to the Baxter Tower as delivery men. They drop off the package and then open the portal to the negative zone.

The kids and some Gargoyle character follow the bad guys through the portal and eavesdrop. Reed Richard’s finds out and wants to get them back and close the portal before something bad happens. Lockjaw shows up and teleports to the kids. They steal what was being delivered there and teleport back. The other bad guy goes after his family member in the Negative Zone.

The Thing needs help with all these monsters. Reed and the others show up to save him with the Kaiju repellent. The Gargoyles turn to stone once the sun rises in Gargoyles x Fantastic Four #1. The heroes are happy and got along great in this comic book. Following the story with so many hops around was a bit challenging. I will probably read Gargoyles x Fantastic Four #1 multiple times.
