G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #26
SCORE: 74
My local comic book store knows I am into G.I. Joe A Real American
Hero. When a reprint of G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #26 came out they
added it to my pile. I am definitely interested in G.I. Joe A Real
American Hero #26. I may have read this comic book as a kid. I do not
recall. I am familiar with much of the lore in G.I. Joe A Real American
Hero #26. The story in this comic book is Snake Eyes The Origin.
The G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #26 comic book cost me $3.99. There
are twenty-two pages of comic book content within G.I. Joe A Real
American Hero #26. The paper and the art gives that feel from the past.
I miss a lot of that era personally. There is a bit at the end of G.I.
Joe A Real American Hero #26 where Larry Hama discusses what led to this
issue. It actually connects back to other recent reprint of G.I. Joe A
Real American Hero #21. There are aspects to the story in G.I. Joe A
Real American Hero #26 that I did not recall.
Spoilers will be a part of this review going forward. There is some
violent content in G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #26. Snake Eyes and
Storm Shadow were in Vietnam together. Storm Shadow saw promise in Snake
Eyes and invited him to the family business. Any idea what that business
is? Storm Shadow was the Young Master in a ninja clan. Snake Eyes joined
and learned the craft in G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #26.
There is a side story where some G.I. Joes are in the swamp with
multiple Cobra big wigs. Junkyard leads the Cobra higher ups to a trap
in G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #26. The Hard Master gets killed by an
arrow. Storm Shadow is the suspected assassin. The Hard Master was
impersonating Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #26. He could
change his heart beat to match someone else.
If I remember correctly we learn later in G.I. Joe A Real American Hero
comic books that Zartan actually killed the Hard Master. The Soft Master
explains all of this to the readers while in essence recapping with
Snake Eyes. General Hawk also has a part to play in the telling of the
story of Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #26. This comic
book is done in a very clever way since Snake Eyes cannot speak at this
point.
