Elijah

When I started to read this comic book all I could think about was the song related to Elijah. It was running through my head while reading this comic book. Elijah cost me $2.00. There aer forty-four pages of comic book content within Elijah. There are Bible verses on the bottoms of the pages of this comic book. The credits for Elijah are on the inside of the front cover.

The issues families can have with Elijah are mild violence, blood, lack of attire, and more. This book takes us through some of the most important parts of the ministry of Elijah. I promise to provide spoilers for the rest of this comic book review. I must admit I am pretty impressed with Elijah. I love how he stood up to the king about the false prophets.

There are plenty of memorable moments in Elijah. It did not rain for years because Elijah said so. Elijah was so in tune with God most of the time. He called down fire on a sacrifice and the prophets of Baal were taken care of by the people. It rained again from a very small cloud. God took care of his people in this comic book. There was the miracles with the widow.

I am amazed that these different kings did not listen to Elijah. The people followed false gods here and there in Elijah. Kings that obeyed the prophets had good times. Those that did not had all kinds of problems. God fought for his people in Elijah. I am astounded at how many of them did not believe. What more do you need?

The art and text are fantastic in Elijah. I continue to enjoy my exploration of the Holy Bible in the comic book format. I hope and pray to be able to finish this entire series. Elijah ends with him being called up into heaven. The next prophet watches this and gets a double portion of the spirit. This is getting really exciting. I cannot wait for the next one.
