Dungeons of Doom #2

Dungeons of Doom #2

Dungeons of Doom #2 takes the series and the franchise in a darker direction than I was expecting. This comic book cost me $5.99. There are thirty pages of comic book content within Dungeons of Doom #2. Compare that to the $3.99 I pay for The Christ comic books that have thirty-two pages of comic book content. Why does Marvel charge so much more money? Plus there are advertisements throughout the Dungeons of Doom #2 comic book.

There is an intro and credits page within Dungeons of Doom #2. We also get two pages of Spiders & Symbiotes, and a page devoted to the next issue. The problems within Dungeons of Doom #2 are violence, blood, gore, language, ghost, false gods, promotion of sexual deviancy and more. A lot of the bad content was not needed in Dungeons of Doom #2. This is starting to feel more like a horror than anything else. The one interesting message in Dungeons of Doom #2 is Doctor Doom was protecting us from these things.

Spoilers will be a part of this review from this point onward. We have the United States of America troops fighting to stay alive. More of them are dying. Red Hulk is around but zero help whatsoever in Dungeons of Doom #2. Hydra is also losing people. There is a fight over the hammer in Hydra. Once you kill someone then you are worthy to hold the hammer in Dungeons of Doom #2. The first guy that got the hammer gets killed in Dungeons of Doom #2. Someone new now holds that hammer.

Umbra is also in Dungeons of Doom #2. Umbra is getting closer to his goal in Dungeons of Doom #2. The Latveria troops are also fighting to stay alive in Dungeons of Doom #2. More of them die as well. Something is messing with them in Dungeons of Doom #2. Something is making them kill one another. I keep wondering what the Red Hulk is doing on the surface when his own troops need his help.

I looked it up while writing this review. There will be one more issue in this series. I am glad because honestly it is not what I was expecting. If there were many more issues after Dungeons of Doom #2 I might drop it altogether. I am not sure what the Red Hulk is doing. I see all these different people dying while Red Hulk is standing around nowhere near the action. Umbra is the most interesting character in this series thus far. He is barely in there too.
