DuckTales #9

There are numerous comic book covers that tell part of the story that readers will find inside the comic book. The main cover of DuckTales #9 has nothing to do with what happens inside the comic book. There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within DuckTales #9. The cost of this comic book was $4.99. After the comic book content is a page devoted to the next issue - which will be on Christmas.

There are some ads after that page, and then the cover gallery in DuckTales #9. The credits are on the first page and the back side of the front cover. Warning! SPOILERS! Warning! The front cover of DuckTales #9 has a ghost knight on a horse chasing Scrooge McDuck who has this shield. The story in DuckTales #9 is about the nephews, Launchpad and Scrooge going on a camping trip. The nephews are there to get a merit badge.

Doofus Drake is left at the camp with Webbigail. There is some humor in DuckTales #9 as Scrooge should learn to keep his beak shut. Scrooge, Launchpad and the nephews get captured by this giant spider in a ravine they fell into when the wood bridge broke. There is a bit of cartoon violence within DuckTales #9. Webbigail and Doofus realize something is wrong when the rest of the party does not return the next morning.

Doofus and Webbigail come to the aid of the two men, and the nephews in DuckTales #9. Doofus and Webbigail fight off the giant spider and save the men. I wondered if DuckTales #9 is part of the war on men. I do not see how the two most incompetent characters could help out the ones that actually know what they are doing. Sure Scrooge made mistakes but fighting as a team they should have been able to take out the giant spider.

Doofus winds up earning a badge in DuckTales #9. The interesting thing is Doofus gives the badge to Webbigail in DuckTales #9. Well he rips the badge in half and gives her one half of it in DuckTales #9. I am beginning to wonder how much longer this series will run. Dynamite does not run these Disney based characters forever. I will keep reading a bit longer to find out. I wish their prices were reasonable.
