Doomquest #1

I read a little bit about this series and decided to check it out. I have a keen interest in all things Doom after he died recently. I am not clear chronologically where Doomquest #1 fits in. The Doomquest #1 comic book cost me $5.99. There is some violence, and mild language issues within Doomquest #1. There is also a reference to the religious belief of evolution within Doomquest #1.

There is also intro and credits page is near the back of Doomquest #1. This is a Marvel comic book which means advertisements can be found all throughout the Doomquest #1 comic book. There is a page devoted to the next issue near the end of this comic book. I make this solemn vow to you now. The rest of this review will include spoilers.

There are some interesting concepts within Doomquest #1. Doom is looking for some grand project to help his home country of Latveria. Mr. Fantastic is at some conference and he talks about using time travel in a new and different way. Have someone send their mind across time to multiple locations at the same time. That way time can be changed in multiple places.

Doom builds this machine thanks to the resources within his country. Doom gets ready to use it, but the Avengers and Fantastic Four show up to stop him. There are some interesting conversations there. It is interesting that Mr. Fantastic cannot acknowledge the major achievement Doom created in Doomquest #1. Doom and Mr. Fantastic fight over the machine.

Comic books love their twist ending. Doomquest #1 is no different. This comic book that contains twenty-five pages has an interesting twist at the end. Doom is on the Titanic. Doom wanted to go to a peace conference to ensure Latveria did not have a lot of land stolen from them. Will Doom achieve any of his goals? Will his country improve from his hard work?
