Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1

I just finished reading Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1. My mind is going back and forth on this comic book. There are some interesting things in Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1. There are also some really depressing things in Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1. This comic book cost me $4.99. There are twenty-five pages of comic book content within Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1. There is an intro and credits page in the beginning of Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1.

The issues families can have with Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1 are magic, violence, bad language, and more. I make this solemn vow that the rest of this review will include spoilers within it. Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1 follows the alternate timeline where Doom never gave up the sorcerer supreme powers and killed all of the heroes. Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1 lets us know that not just the heroes died on that day. All life on Earth.

Doom has lived to the 2099 point and made Doombots that look like the people he knew. Doom has tried again and again to go back and change the timeline. Every single time he failed. Doom now needs to fix his time travel device. So Doombots were sent to find what they could of something that could help Doom. Any idea what that is? It is Ultron. The front cover of Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1 probably gave that away.

Ultron is going to be used to fix the time portal. Doom ensured that Ultron does not have any other control. The Doombots decided to change that while Doom was sleeping. They freed Ultron who in turn freed them. Doom put his own Doombots down easily. Unfortunately Ultron was another case entirely. Do you know what Ultron wants? He wants to destroy all life on the planet. Doom is the last living thing.

Doom and Ultron fight in Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1. I expected Doom to pull some rabbit out of a hat in Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1. Sadly Doom loses in Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1. Doom is left adrift in the timestream. Ultron is left to rule the lifeless planet Earth in 2099. At least in this timeline. The last page of Doom 2099 Rage of Doom #1 lets us know that it is the end for now. I expect this storyline will continue again in three, six, or nine months.
