Darkwing Duck & Gargoyles #1

When I saw Darkwing Duck & Gargoyles #1 at our local comic book store I had quite the chuckle. Out of all of the different franchises to mash up I would have not considered these two. In other ways it makes perfect sense. Dynamite holds the license for the two of them. Why not put them together? This comic book cost me $4.99. There are twenty-four pages of comic book content within Darkwing Duck & Gargoyles #1.

The credits for Darkwing Duck & Gargoyles #1 can be found on the back of the front cover. There is a page devoted to the next issue, and some advertisements in Darkwing Duck & Gargoyles #1. The cover gallery pages can be found near the end of this comic book. There is some cartoon violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, magic and other issues in this comic book.

Expect spoilers from here on out in my review of the Darkwing Duck & Gargoyles #1 comic book. Morgana is kidnapped by Demona in Darkwing Duck & Gargoyles #1. Two of her bats go to Darkwing Duck. Thanks to Gosalyn they find out about the kidnapping. Darkwing Duck goes to New York City to find and save Morgana in this comic book.

There is a really funny part in Darkwing Duck & Gargoyles #1. Darkwing Duck goes after these criminals that do not have much of a theme. Darkwing takes the down easily in Darkwing Duck & Gargoyles #1. Goliath of the gargoyles sees the duck shaped aircraft and investigates with Detective Maza. Goliath helps Darkwing Duck with some criminals.

There is a bit of a fourth wall break in Darkwing Duck & Gargoyles #1. Goliath turns to stone before he and DW can get into a fight. Demona still has Morgana and wants the Quackronomicon from her. Darkwing Duck & Gargoyles #1 does a fantastic job of setting up the crossover between these two franchises. I am interested in seeing where it goes.
