DC x AEW #2
SCORE: 62
I am glad that this series is ending with just two issues. DC x AEW
#2 was absolutely horrible and miserable to read through. This comic
book cost me $5.99. It is one of those DC double cover things. So I get
an alternate variant cover and I get the regular one as the very next
page. There are twenty-four pages of comic book content within DC x AEW
#2. The credits for DC x AEW #2 are on the back side of the mainline
front cover. The backside of the variant cover contains a sexist
advertisement.
The issues families can have with DC x AEW #2 are violence, blood, lack
of attire, enticement to lust, bad language, reincarnation, magic, false
gods, worshipping of sexual deviancy and more. I will include spoilers
in this review. DC x AEW #2 hops around the different team ups as AEW
Wrestlers and Justice League characters are fighting together against
different villains. Mercedes and Luthor have the belt in DC x AEW #2.
The most interesting part about DC x AEW #2 is when Sting appears and
saves Darby Allin from the Joker. Hawkgirl goes on a rant attacking
people of faith in DC x AEW #2. There are aspects of DC x AEW #2 that
make little to no sense to me. For example Zatanna lets Toni Storm use
her wand and magic in DC x AEW #2. Why? Zatanna should have been able to
take care of the Shaggoth Dogs all on her own.
There is a challenge for the belt that turns into a mixed match. Luthor
and Mercedes against Kenny Omega and Wonder Woman. It does not really
play out like a normal wrestling match in my opinion. Wonder Woman uses
her lasso of truth in DC x AEW #2 to win. To me that is a weapon and a
violation of the rules laid out in DC x AEW #2. Since when did comic
book writers obey their own rules?
The different Justice League characters and AEW wrestlers compliment one
another near the end of DC x AEW #2. Kenny Omega makes the belt return
to its source near the end of DC x AEW #2. That way it cannot be used
again in the future. DC x AEW #2 then lets us know where we can find
these people in the future if we want to. They claim it is where the
best wrestle. I have not seen much of AEW so I cannot confirm that. I do
know they sign plenty of people that were once in WWE.
