If you read the Civil War comic book series or the compilation of it
in the graphic novel format you know some of the things that happened.
This comic book cost me $4.99. There are twenty pages of comic book
content within Civil War Unmasked #2. There is an intro and credits page
near the beginning of the Civil War Unmasked #2 comic book.
Advertisements can be found throughout the Civil War Unmasked #2 comic
book. There is some violent content within Civil War Unmasked #2. There
are two pages from the editor discussing this storyline and its time
period. There is a page devoted to the next issue within Civil War
Unmasked #2 as well. Expect spoilers for the rest of this review.
Civil War Unmasked #2 is all about Spider-Man. It starts out with Spidey
fighting Ringer and making all kinds of jokes. From there Peter is
considering what Iron Man and the government are offering. If Spider-Man
reveals his secret identity he gets all kinds of protection and perks
from the government. Like what? A pension really sticks out.
Peter talks with his aunt and MJ about this decision in Civil War
Unmasked #2. The pros and the cons are discussed in Civil War Unmasked
#2. My biggest problem with Civil War Unmasked #2 is I know Peter Parker
decides to reveal his secret identity. This is what I referenced in the
first paragraph. There is no surprise or shock factor in this comic
book.
After Spider-Man reveals he is really Peter Parker the Daily Bugle sues
him. Hydro-Man attacks the Daily Bugle. Spider-Man comes to the rescue
and saves his former co-workers. I wish Civil War Unmasked #2 explored
more about how the different people felt about Peter Parker being
Spider-Man. The government was giving out a lot to the heroes in this
period.
