Capes #2
SCORE: 63
I have some more of this series in my pile. Once I read the ones left
in my pile I will be done with this franchise. The same problems in the
first issue persist in the second one. I do not see any of this getting
better anytime soon. I suspect it is part of the universe they are
trying to weave with Capes. This comic book cost me $3.99. There are
twenty-two pages of comic book content within Capes #2.
The credits can be found on the back of the front cover. The cover
gallery is on the back cover of the Capes #2 comic book. The issues
families can have with Capes #2 are violence, blood, lack of attire,
enticement to lust, sexual content, bad language, and more. There is a
three page preview Void Rival #25. There are a few advertisements near
the back of Capes #2. There is an editor's desk in Capes #2.
I will include spoilers for the rest of this review. The night shift did
not catch any of the escaped prisoners. So the day shift is not able to
take vacation. Bolt catches his cape in the car door and winds up
messing up his cape while driving in Capes #2. While Bolt is in the
parking lot he gets attacked by one of the escaped convicts. Bolt winds
up taking down this bad guy in Capes #2.
There is another man who is watching Bolt and plans some revenge. He
runs into a bird watching woman and gets distracted. The Capes
organization is having money issues. The public trust is dropping and
the government is cutting their budget. There is a background of two of
the older characters in Capes #2. They explain how they got their powers
and how those powers work in Capes #2.
The hero that was gone for many years wants to get backpay but he is not
given it in Capes #2. He is being treated as a resurrection and not
someone that was in another dimension and trapped. There is one really
clever moment in Capes #2. Bolt uses one villain to take out another
one. The heroes do a good job of catching most of the escaped felons in
Capes #2. They are then allowed to take the night off.
