Babylon Volume 1

When we last had some money to make a Christian comic book purchase I bought Babylon Volume 1. This comic book cost me $2.00. There are thirty-nine pages of comic book content within Babylon Volume 1. There are a few advertisements in the back of the Babylon Volume 1 comic book. The credits can be found on the back of the front cover of the Babylon Volume 1 comic book. There are Bible verses on the bottoms of the pages of this comic book.

The art is stunning, and stellar in Babylon Volume 1. There are some extremely well know people within Babylon Volume 1. There is also a bit of a shock ending in Babylon Volume 1. I cannot recall the last time I had a shock ending in one of the Christian comic books. I really appreciated that. Like always I need to disclose something. The rest of this review will contain spoilers.

King Jehoichin is in a bind in Babylon Volume 1. The Babylonians are attacking Jerusalem in Babylon Volume 1. The people of Israel cannot fight them. They are losing that battle in Babylon Volume 1. They cannot negotiate with them, because other neighboring countries were ground into the dust. There is nothing they can do. They lose and are captured. The Babylonians take a great many of the people back to their land in Babylon Volume 1.

The prophet Daniel is a boy in Babylon Volume 1. He is brought to Babylon in this comic book. He and the other Hebrews refuse to eat the pork and wine put in front of them. Instead they make a deal to eat vegetables and water. They look better and are smarter than the other boys in this educational area. Daniel is able to tell King Nebuchadnezzar his dream and the interpretation thanks to God.

A giant statue to the king is erected in Babylon. Shadrach, Meshach And Abednego refuse to bow down to this false idol in Babylon Volume 1. They are reported by those jealous of their position. Amazing that even back then there will little snakes that were running to authority figures trying to get others in trouble. The three Hebrew men are going to be put into the blaze furnace next. Babylon Volume 1 stops right before that point.
