Baby Garfield #2

I realized something after reading Baby Garfield #2. I am now half
way through this entire series. There will be four issues in this run so
this is the halfway point. The cover gallery is on the back cover of the
Baby Garfield #2 comic book. The credits for Baby Garfield #2 are on the
back of the front cover. There are two stories within Baby Garfield #2.
They are Baby Garfield's First Monday, and Baby Garfield's First
Lasagna.
Each of the stories within Baby Garfield #2 contain twelve comic book
content pages. There is also like a cover and an orange page for each of
the stories. Baby Garfield #2 also contains a page near the back for the
next issue. This is the same format that was used in the last issue. I
noticed all new people are associated with this issue from the last
issue. That is something I do not see a lot of in a four issue series.
I will include spoilers for the rest of this review. The first story in
Baby Garfield #2 has some pretty old and ugly looking art. I almost
wonder if this is some kind of a facsimile or reprint. The art in the
second story is much better in my opinion. Garfield is used to Jon
spending time with him in the first story. This is over the weekend. Jon
must go to work on Monday. Garfield is left to fend for himself.
Garfield gets into all kinds of trouble while he is bored at home in the
first story in Baby Garfield #2. Eventually the weekend comes again and
Jon is home again. The next Monday is when Garfield is introduced to
Odie. The second story explains how Garfield got into lasagna. Garfield
only wanted to eat chocolate chip cookies in Baby Garfield #2. Jon knew
Garfield needed more and better nutrients.
Garfield tears the kitchen apart looking for the hidden chocolate chip
cookies in Baby Garfield #2. Eventually Garfield comes across some
lasagna in Baby Garfield #2. Garfield thinks it is cake because of the
structure of the dish. Garfield eats some and realizes how much he likes
all of the different flavors. Garfield lets Odie know that is how he
first came to love the lasagna dish. Baby Garfield #2 is pretty cute. A
little humor too.
