You guys and gals know how I like to comment about these products
with names as long as an entire sentence? The 9 movie has the opposite
impact, and the opposite effect. The entire name of this product is 9.
There is a small story behind my review of 9. This movie came out at the
very end of 2009. I suspect I bought 9 somewhere in 2010. I watched it
back then too. This was before we were trying to review as many of the
movies and television shows we watched.
I decided recently when I had an opening on a movie night that I would
watch and review 9. I vaguely remember this movie from the past. 9 did
not impress me back in the day, and does not impress me now. Yolanda
watched 9 with me. She felt like this movie was entirely pointless. I
noticed some of the fear mongering from Hollywood in 9. I will get into
that in just a bit. There will be spoilers in my review.
9 contains some violent content. This Sackboy wannabe wakes up with no
idea where he is or what is going on. He is in this house of a war torn
area. Throughout the movie we are given more information on the world
and what happened. It took us one hour and twenty minutes to watch 9
from start to finish. The main character in this movie is also called 9.
He runs across 2 and a beast. 9 also has this circle button with three
symbols on it.
9 has some dark magic that will suck the soul out of a person and into
some inanimate object. Like the Sackboy body he is in. By the way, I
love how the front cover of this DVD talks about how original it is.
Sackboy pre-dates 9. There is this AI device that can make other
machines. It caused the extinction of humanity in 9. I learned that
technology is bad thanks to 9. Yet they used technology to make their
movie.
Numerous other Sackboy like characters are sucked into the AI machine in
9. The main character learns how to reverse the process and release the
souls of the other character. They then go into the clouds and make it
rain. The AI machine ceases to function in 9 as well. The world is
theirs and they can do whatever they want. It looks like all plant life
was killed off by the machines.
