The Chosen Season 1

I heard about The Chosen television show recently. In fact I kept an app for a Christian streaming service on my phone as a reminder to get around to watching it. While Noah and I were watching some other show on Amazon Prime, a commercial came up for The Chosen on Amazon Prime. Once we finished that show I found The Chosen Season 1 and started watching it. I had heard from a plethora of people that this show was great. I am very thankful I was able to watch the first season.

Spoilers are a part of this review. There are some aspects to The Chosen Season 1 that might bother some people. First off there are some clever and interesting ideas presented that might be true or might not. For example Simon (Peter) is in financial stress before catching all those fish. Those fish were a lot of money and paid off the debts. It also allowed Simon to go and follow Jesus.

There are eight episodes in The Chosen Season 1 that are between thirty-five and fifty-five minutes in terms of length. The issues families can have with The Chosen Season 1 are violence, blood, demons, gambling, taxes and more. I did discover there are physical copies of The Chosen available. I even found a physical copy version of the first four seasons. I will look into purchasing that when the time and money present themselves.

Much of the bad content within The Chosen Season 1 is shown as bad. There are other things that are shown as bad such as being judgmental. There are some Pharisees that are shown as too rigid and close minded in The Chosen Season 1. They see a miracle and refuse to believe. The Romans are also shown within The Chosen Season 1. Matthew is a lot of fun in The Chosen Season 1.

There are plenty of quotes from the Holy Bible within The Chosen Season 1. There are different things that happen within The Chosen Season 1 at different times than when I expected them to happen. There are some amazing moments in The Chosen Season 1 that gave me chills. I also loved the actors and music in The Chosen Season 1. The depth of emotion in The Chosen Season 1 is relayed quite well. I can feel what they feel.

The Chosen Season 1 is the highest scoring show or movie that we have reviewed on the Amazon Prime platform. I see there are five seasons of this show and at least one movie on Amazon Prime. I also noticed other interesting shows that might be like The Chosen. As I get time I will work on checking them out. I recommend The Chosen Season 1 to families. This show brought a smile to my face.
