Teen Titans Go #5

I normally give a new series I am interested in five issues to decide if I want to keep reading it or not. The thing that kept me reading Teen Titans Go this long has been the lower price of $2.99. There are twenty pages of comic book content. There are comic books costing one to two dollars more with the same amount of content. There is also a seven page preview of DC’s Misfits of Magic in Teen Titans Go #5.

Warning spoilers are in this review going forward. The Teen Titans are given medals in Teen Titans Go #5. Raven is invited to sing the national anthem in this comic book. Starfire thinks everyone needs to be given fruit in relation to the patriotism. There is plenty of humor within Teen Titans Go #5. The Teen Titans decide Starfire needs the American experience.

They set out on a mission to show Starfire three American activities in Teen Titans Go #5. First they go to a baseball game and get some hot dogs. The commentary on the hot dogs is hilarious. As they are watching the game Starfire and Beast Boy misunderstand and attack one of the teams. The entire Teen Titans is banned from the3 stadium for their actions.

The next place the Teen Titans go is to a monster truck rally. Again Starfire does not understand what is going on. So Raven creates real monsters that mess with the drivers in Teen Titans Go #5. They also chase off a lot of the people in the stands. I guess watching and enjoying something is not in their nature. Maybe Robin should have explained that.

The final place the Teen Titans go in this comic book is the state fair. They win prizes, ride rides, and enjoy funnel cakes. Starfire decides the ride must go faster in Teen Titans Go #5. She speeds up the ride and everyone on the ride winds up throwing up in Teen Titans Go #5. That is the worst thing in this entire comic book. I found some charm in Teen Titans Go #5.
