Teen Titans Go #1

I saw Teen Titans Go #1 at our local comic book store and decided to check it out. This comic book only cost $2.99. There are twenty pages of comic book content within Teen Titans Go #1. There is also a seven page preview of Primer Clashing Colors. I did not get interested in that preview thanks to Teen Titans Go #1. The credits can be found on the second page along with regular art.

Speaking of art in Teen Titans Go #1 - there are some strange things in this comic book. First and foremost there will be spoilers in my review of the Teen Titans Go #1 comic book. The Teen Titans go to the DC Headquarters in a castle to find out their comic book is being canceled. But wait aren't we in a Teen Titans comic book? The team decides they want to do whatever they can to get published again.

The issues families can have with Teen Titans Go #1 are violence, lying, false gods, and more. There are all these different art styles attempted in Teen Titans Go #1. Readers are told what each one is in Teen Titans Go #1 as well. This is handy because at times I did not know what they were going for. I am not that deep into comic books to know the indie style of art for example.

The obsession with being published in Teen Titans Go #1 is a bit strange to me. The Teen Titans decide they will mess with the other heroes so DC Comics has no content to make comic books out of. Teen Titans Go #1 does contain some humor within it. For example Superman is convinced to leave Earth for another planet. Right after Superman leaves Lex Luthor attacks the city. The Titans asked what could go wrong.

I have not made a final decision on this series as of yet. I will read at least another issue before I determine if I want to continue this franchise or not. Teen Titans Go #1 is okay on different levels. I have a long complicated history with the Teen Titans. Teen Titans Go #1 reminds me of that. Some of the cartoons I enjoyed and some I did not get into. I hope Teen Titans Go #1 continues to get better.
