Superman #871

SCORE: 69

Superman #871

I purchased a copy of the variant cover of the Superman #871 comic book. It wound up costing me one dollar more. The exact cost of this comic book for me was $5.99. There are 20 pages of comic book content within Superman #871. The credits can be found on page three with some art. Advertisements can be found throughout this comic book.

There will be spoilers in my review of this comic book. There was a reboot of the series and the reboot number shows this comic book to be Superman #28. I continue to use the legacy numbering system. The issues families can have with Superman #871 are violence, blood, and more. The interview page contains information about the Superman movie.

The future has been changed in this book. The Legion of Superheroes are now the Legion of Darkseid. Saturn girl attacks Superman in Superman #871. Saturn girl makes Superman think that they are killing his friends in Superman #871. Superman is fighting this. Two other legion characters are shown in Superman #871. All three of them have a dark look.

Time Trapper shows up to save Superman in Superman #871. Superboy Prime shows up at the end of Superman #871. It looks like the two of them are going to work together in the next comic book against the Legion of Darkseid. How did the Legion get turned over to Darkseid? There are some mysteries that still need to be revealed.

I am really digging the storytelling in this comic book series. I wish the prices were a bit lower. Hopefully my investment is a variant to cover will pay dividends in the future. The art is decent in Superman #871. The action that happens in this comic book mainly happens in Superman‘s head. I find that fascinating personally. This is also where the blood came from.
