Superman #866

In some ways I am very thankful I had the $4.99 to purchase a copy of the Superman #866 comic book. In other ways I am not very happy about the ending of this storyline. More on that later. Superman #866 also has the reboot number of Superman #23 on it. There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within Superman #866. Advertisements can be found at the front and the end of this comic book.

Spoilers will be included in my review of the Superman #866 comic book. There are four pages of a preview of Absolute Flash #1 in Superman #866. I am not very interested in the Absolute line of comic books. I have enough other things to read and get caught up on. The issues families can have with Superman #866 are bad language, violence, blood, and more.

I feel like Superman #866 wraps up the storyline too easily and too quickly at the end. Superwoman is offered a vision of the future. That could be very handy in terms of maybe being able to change it. She rejects that offer and attacks the future Doomsday character. Superman works on controlling his anger in the Superman #866 comic book.

Superman continues to fight off Radiant in this comic book. The current day Doomsday is waking up thanks to those attacks. Superwoman is unable to save Jimmy in time in Superman #866. Jimmy winds up in a coma and his girlfriend blames Superwoman for it. That may be trouble in the near future with how Shriek leaves things.

Lex Luthor shows up and saves the day in Superman #866. Lex puts Doomsday and Radiant and all of those alien ships in one of those Brainiac bottles. That means they are shrunk down to a small size and contained. If Doomsday ever escapes then he will have control over time. I guess that is how we will get Time Trapper. A bit too easy and convenient for my tastes.
