Star Wars Doctor Aphra Aphra

Here we go again. Noah found Star Wars Doctor Aphra Aphra at the local comic book store on the fifty percent off table. He paid $8.99 for the Star Wars Doctor Aphra Aphra graphic novel. This graphic novel collects Star Wars Aphra #1 through #6. The price is decent for the amount of comic book content. Full price would be another story though. I will include spoilers in my review of this graphic novel.

The issues families can have with Star Wars Doctor Aphra Aphra are violence, lies, sexual deviancy and more. The main character Aphra owes money to all these different characters. Anyone else notice this is a common theme used in Star Wars entertainment again and again? Doctor Aphra is not even a believable character.

There are numerous moments within Star Wars Doctor Aphra Aphra that have been used in Star Wars over and over. Doctor Aphra used to work for Darth Vader in the past. She faked her death. She does still have two murder droids that help out in Star Wars Doctor Aphra Aphra. They enjoy torture a bit too much for my tastes.

Aphra loses her title of doctor within Star Wars Doctor Aphra Aphra. Her father was behind that. Her dear old dad wants her help to find some historical site that many believe was just a myth. Aphra decides to help since there may be some money in it for her. She has debts to pay off. How did she get those debts though?

There are some interesting moments within Star Wars Doctor Aphra Aphra. There are some cover pages within this graphic novel. I also really liked the intro page that reminded me of the movies. The main character Aphra is not a believable character to me. Probably because the same arch type has been over used.
