Speed Racer #3
SCORE: 70
Business is starting to pick up in Speed Racer #3. I am thankful I
had the $4.99 to purchase a copy of this comic book. There are
twenty-two pages of comic book content within Speed Racer #3. After that
comic book content there is a page devoted to the next issue. Then we
get four pages of a preview of Luidattor #1 in Speed Racer #3. There are
some advertisements to finish off the Speed Racer #3 comic book.
The contents for Speed Racer #3 can be found on the back of the front
cover. There will be spoilers in my review of the Speed Racer #3 comic
book. The issues families can have with Speed Racer #3 are violence,
gambling and more. I feel like Speed Racer #3 is a great setup issue on
multiple fronts. First off we get recap on what is going on with Speed
Racer. He looks back to the past and his brother.
Speed Racer believes his brother is dead in Speed Racer #3. The C.A.T.
team are the bad guys. Speed Racer goes to a bar to confront the C.A.T.
team. He wants to know if they were part of the crew that attacked his
dad and gave him a heart attack. The bad guys do not like the accusation
of course. The kid and the monkey show up and get caught. A bar room
brawl breaks out in Speed Racer #3.
Racer X confronts Speed Racer in Speed Racer #3. Racer X and Speed Racer
make a bet. They will race. If Speed Racer wins then he gets all this
money to keep the team afloat. If Racer X wins then he gets the car. Can
you guess who wins in Speed Racer #3? Racer X wins in this comic book.
Then the C.A.T. team show up and steal the car. The kid and the monkey
are hiding in the car in Speed Racer #3.
Speed Racer and Racer X work together in Speed Racer #3. They catch the
bad guys. Speed Racer does the right thing and goes back to Racer X to
give him the car. Racer X asks why Speed Racer is racing. Speed Racer
tells him and Racer X gives him the keys, and the money. He then pulls
out the same picture from the first page. Again I believe Racer X is the
brother of Speed Racer that he thinks is dead.
