Sonic The Hedgehog #79

Sonic The Hedgehog #79

Sonic The Hedgehog #79 is the second comic book from IDW Publishing that increased the price by one dollar. There was no explanation as to why that happened either. Sonic The Hedgehog #79 cost me $4.99. There are twenty pages of comic book content within Sonic The Hedgehog #79. We still get a Story so Far, and Cast of Character pages in this comic book.

The credits are on the back of the front cover. There are two letter pages, and a page devoted to the next issue. Readers also get two art pages within Sonic The Hedgehog #79. The IDW View from the Back Page, and ads round out the Sonic The Hedgehog #79 comic book. I will include spoilers in this review of the Sonic The Hedgehog #79 comic book.

Sonic The Hedgehog #79 helps wrap up one of the storylines. Mimic is confronted by Whisper. Mimic tries to attack Whisper in Sonic The Hedgehog #79. At that point Silver reveals himself and helps out. Mimic winds up getting cornered and bows himself up in Sonic The Hedgehog #79. This should completely wrap up this storyline for good.

There is a bit of cartoon violence within Sonic The Hedgehog #79. There is also some mild language issues in this comic book. I found some of the talk of the past very interesting. I did not read this comic book back then so it gave me all kinds of interesting context. Tangle saves Whisper when Mimic blows himself up. Sonic The Hedgehog #79 ends bringing us back to Sonic and Team Chaotix.

Whisper had quite the emotional reaction when Mimic blows up and fall to his death in a river far below. I suppose he might survive somehow but I doubt it. Sonic The Hedgehog #79 is a comic book and they are known for bringing characters back to life. I hope they keep Mimic dead though. That character needed to go away forever in my opinion.
