Silverhawks #1

I have seen the Silverhawks comic books at our local comic book store for a bit now. I decided to go ahead and buy up the first couple of them and decide if I wanted to keep reading it. I did some research on this series but am not sure how many there will be. Is this an all new running series for awhile, or just so many issues? I am unclear on that. The cost of the Silverhawks #1 comic book was $4.99.

There are twenty-four pages of comic book content within Silverhawks #1. Advertisements can be found throughout this comic book. There is a Dynamite Dispatch page with an interview, and three cover gallery pages within Silverhawks #1. Spoilers will be a part of my review of the Silverhawks #1 comic book. In a great many ways Silverhawks #1 is a huge disappointment to me. I vaguely remember the cartoon.

The issues families can have with Silverhawks #1 are violence, blood, mild language, and more. The original Silverhawks are really old in Silverhawks #1. They are retiring. Mon-Star escapes from prison and goes on a rampage killing anyone that stood up to him, or is some kind of a rival. The original Silverhawks are safe and alive within Silverhawks #1. Mon-Star kills a lot in the prison he escapes from.

The decision is made that a new generation of Silverhawks needs to be created. One of the new ones breaks free from his capsule in Silverhawks #1. He does not know what is going on. He does not know what happened to him. He is a bit confused at the end of Silverhawks #1. You know comics have to have some twist ending in them. Silverhawks #1 is no different if you know what I mean.

The police go on a raid in Silverhawks #1 as well. They find out it is actually a trap, and many of them get injured. Some of them may even be dead. Silverhawks #1 is a lot more graphic and violent than I remember the cartoon. I may need to try and purchase and watch the cartoon at some point in the future. I have a few more of these comic books to read and review before I make a decision on whether I want to continue it or not.
