Planet 51 The Game

I have been playing Planet 51 The Game on the Nintendo DS recently. Thus far this game has been very interesting to me. My initial reactions to Planet 51 The Game on the Nintendo DS were very positive. Certainly more so than how Luke felt about the console version of this game. The music is really nice in Planet 51 The Game on the hand held.

We do errands and chores in Planet 51 The Game. Characters will have quests for us in this video game. The first mission within Planet 51 The Game was to drive with your mother. After that we get to run around on a bike. There is an arrow in Planet 51 The Game that reminds me of Crazy Taxi. Follow that arrow around the town your destination.

I thought Planet 51 The Game was pretty fun and pretty easy. Then things changed in Planet 51 The Game drastically. I got a mission to stop this thief. He stole this kids comic book. The story in Planet 51 The Game is told in screenshots and text. This Nintendo DS game told me to bump into the thief with my bike. I did this numerous times and barely took much health away.

I failed that mission multiple times in Planet 51 The Game. I could side swipe this character, or press the A button to hit him. Here is the issue with the A button. Holding that button down is how I would accelerate the bike. So I let go to hit the A button only to lose some speed and barely do any damage. I feel like there is a bad control design there.

The touch controls for driving a car make sense to me. I had to adapt a little bit them, but once I did Planet 51 The Game was fun. Then things changed 3D graphics are okay within Planet 51 The Game. I do understand the limitations of this device. I do not recall this movie even though I am pretty sure I watched it at some point in time. May need to go back to it at some future date.
