Petz Fantasy 3D

For whatever reason we missed Petz Fantasy 3D back in the day when it was released. I have two immediate thoughts. The first one was we did not miss much when the industry was saturated with these kinds of games. There were better pet simulators and there were worse ones from that era. The second thought is these video game companies really missed an opportunity to reach Family Friendly Gaming Universe.

We find eggs and take care of fantasy creatures in Petz Fantasy 3D. There are 2D side scrolling levels that can be completed within Petz Fantasy 3D. As we build up the star power of a fantasy creatures in Petz Fantasy 3D can then go through a level to get another egg. We take care of the creatures within the house in this hand held video game.

We can pet, bath, and feed the fantasy creatures within Petz Fantasy 3D. Since the goal was to build one up to get another one I never really bonded with any of the fantasy creatures within this Nintendo 3DS video game. The graphics are okay in this hand held video game. The formula for what we do felt pretty limited to me personally.

The 2D side scrolling levels have players shooting things, collecting things, jumping, and getting to the end. I felt like there was a real lack of creativity in those 2D side scrolling levels personally. A little more level diversity and lack of reusing the same content would have been nice. I know this may be a game geared more for kids, but does that mean our standards are so much lower?

The orbs are done in a space kind of a way in Petz Fantasy 3D. This is where we select the eggs or fantasy creatures we want to work with. The animals are happy as long as we take care of them. Bathing them can be fun as they run all around the bathroom. It makes bathing Princess seem like a breeze. For me Petz Fantasy 3D is a little below average.
