Party Arcade
SCORE: 68
I happily check out a plethora of different products. A great many
times I have no idea exactly what I am getting myself into before I
start using certain products. Party Arcade certainly falls under that
umbrella. I had certain thoughts about what would be in Party Arcade
before I started playing it. I was way off base in terms of my
expectation. First and foremost this game would not work until I
connected it online. How annoying is that?
There are thirteen mini games within Party Arcade. The mini games within
Party Arcade are Air Hockey, Slot Machine, Stop Light, Skill Ball, Puck
Bowling, Ping Pong, Hoop Shot, Disk-O, Darts, Cup Pong, Corn Hole, Bocce
Ball, and Billiards. Two of the mini games within Party Arcade are
multiple player only. The other eleven mini games will allow for a
single player experience.
The loading times within Party Arcade are extremely long. I am shocked
at how long the games took to load. what is insane is they are not
cutting edge graphics either. Party Arcade looks okay. The music in
Party Arcade is on the annoying side. The special effect sounds in Party
Arcade are decent. The controls take a lot to get used to. The controls
are also on the random side. What I mean is I would do something one way
with one outcome. Doing the same thing again produced a different
outcome.
I am thankful I was able to purchase a physical copy version of Party
Arcade. There is a digital download version of Party Arcade as well.
There are some mini games that can be played local multiplayer or online
multiplayer. We earn tickets that can be used for items in some of the
mini games. Like a different pool stick in Billiards for example. The
long loading times really hurt this game in terms of flow.
All in all I did not enjoy my time with Party Arcade. I spent more time
on loading screens than actually playing the mini games. The tickets did
not produce objects that felt worthwhile to me. We have gambling and a
beer game in Party Arcade. The mini game choice is not very good in my
personal opinion. I do not think families would like to explain certain
things in Party Arcade to their kids.
