One World Under Doom #8
SCORE: 66
I wondered how the seeds of Doom's downfall would be done in One
World Under Doom #8. After reading this comic book it is making a bit
more sense. This comic book cost me $4.99. There are twenty-one pages of
comic book content within One World Under Doom #8. There are three pages
of comic book content and then a page devoted to a small press release
from the Avengers. Then we get the intro/credits page. Next up is a
character page.
At the end of then comic book content in One World Under Doom #8 is a
checklist page, and a page devoted to the next issue. One World Under
Doom #8 has advertisements spaced out throughout this comic book.
Spoilers will be a part of this review going forward. The issues
families can have with One World Under Doom #8 are magic, violence,
blood, gore, lack of attire, enticement to lust, and more. One World
Under Doom #8 is more about Doom than the heroes.
Valerie the goddaughter of Doom reaches out to talk to him. They have a
conversation at the beginning of One World Under Doom #8 where she tries
to talk him down. She accuses Doom of forcing this on people, and they
will never accept it. Doom believes they just need time and other things
were forced on people. They talk on the astral plane while Doom fights
off the heroes. Doom ends the conversation and blocks Valerie from
contacting him that way again.
The heroes have all these clever different little things they come up
with to attack Doom in One World Under Doom #8. Ultimately they fail and
they lose when Doom sends out all these shards to injure but not kill
them. Doom even takes away the powers from the mutants at one point in
One World Under Doom #8. Once they leave their powers will return. Doom
is showing mercy to the heroes in One World Under Doom #8.
Doom then decides to make his victory a fixed moment in history. No
other magic or time travel can change it. Doom decides to be just as
clever as the heroes. There is a bit of symmetry in One World Under Doom
#8. Valerie shows up to the battlefield and dies right in front of Doom.
It looks like her head falls off from the attacks of the shards. I
thought they were not supposed to kill anyone. I can see how the death
of Valerie will lead to the demise of Doom.
